Thirty hours. Three days. One unforgettable experience. The 2021 Virtual Mastermind World Summit (VMWS) was jam-packed with value, education, inspiration, love, and much more. Attending the VMWS was an incredible experience that I will remember as one of the best decisions I ever made.
Dean Graziosi and Tony Robbins brought together incredible thought leaders and entrepreneurs from all walks of life. Graziosi is an author, entrepreneur, and investor. He has helped millions of people improve their lives through his books, courses, and teachings. Robbins is the nation’s top life and business strategist; he is also an author and philanthropist.
The 2021 VMWS was the roadmap for how to start and be successful in the knowledge industry. The knowledge industry allows people to share their knowledge, skills, or experience to help others. The digital world has evolved immensely over the past few decades, and it will only continue to evolve. People are constantly searching for answers and looking for solutions to problems online. The knowledge industry is an opportunity for everyone and anyone to be a part of solving someone’s problem. According to an article by Forbes.
“PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW WAYS TO LEARN THE PRACTICAL, REAL-WORLD SKILLS THAT THEY WILL NEED TO GET AHEAD IN THEIR RESPECTIVE FIELDS.”
Two of the most significant changes that occurred due to the global pandemic were the way people learn and work. Virtual learning and remote work environments had effectively become the new norm for an extended time. Although schools have opened up and people are beginning to return to work, virtual learning and working are here to stay. Forbes also reported that
“TRENDS SHOW VIRTUAL SERVICE DELIVERY BECOMING THE STANDARD FOR HOW PEOPLE WILL SELF-EDUCATE, LEVEL UP THEIR SKILLS AND RETRAIN FOR NEW WORK IN THIS NEW ECONOMY.”
The summit covered three main topics: mindset, marketing, and selling. Throughout the event, incredible speakers took the stage and delivered immense value. The speakers included entrepreneurs like Jenna Kutcher, Lisa Nichols, Glo Atanmo, Karissa Kouchis, and much more. Every speaker gave their unique perspective on one of the three main topics. The event was full of inspiring stories, encouraging life and business advice, actionable strategies and tools for implementation, and examples of hard-working people achieving incredible success.
Here are five noteworthy lines from the VMWS that will inspire and motivate you to take action and be your best self.
“PERFECTION IS THE LOWEST STANDARD ON EARTH. PERFECTION IS NO STANDARD. IT’S AN EXCUSE NOT TO START BECAUSE YOU FEAR THAT YOU WON’T DO A GOOD JOB.” – TONY ROBBINS
When faced with new opportunities or challenges, we sometimes use perfection as an excuse not to take action, but in reality, fear of failure holds us back or keeps us feeling stuck. No one likes to fail. But, failure is how we can learn and make progress. Our mistakes are what make us human; fear also makes us human. What you do to overcome the fear of failure is what matters in the long run.
HOW YOU CAN APPLY THIS QUOTE
One of the most effective ways to overcome perfectionism is to expect failure. Focus on your progress and be okay with not doing everything right one hundred percent of the time. When we learn to focus on the process more than the outcome, fear of failure dissipates. Taking continuous action also becomes much easier because you’ll most likely be making progress each time you repeat a skill.
“PROGRESS IS WHAT IS GOING TO MAKE YOU HAPPY IN THE LONG RUN. DON’T STOP MAKING PROGRESS. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE PROGRESS TO CREATE MOMENTUM.” – TONY ROBBINS
As I previously discussed in the paragraph above, the more you progress towards a particular goal, the easier it is to keep going. No matter how slow the progress is, it can add up to significant results over time when you repeat an action consistently. When I set a goal and begin working towards it, most of the time, I’ll underestimate how long it will take me to accomplish it. But, the feeling of finishing what I set my mind to is one of the best feelings in the world. Naturally, we tend to be impatient, but the more we appreciate the journey and not solely focus on the destination, the easier it is to build momentum, keep taking action, and be happier, better versions of ourselves.
HOW YOU CAN APPLY THIS QUOTE
Identify a goal, project, or task that you’ve been putting off for a while. What is one action you can do right now that can help move you closer to completing that goal, project, or task? Getting started is always the most challenging part. Identifying one action you can take to keep you moving forward can help reduce the overwhelm and increase your likelihood of taking action.
“ONE OF THE ESSENTIAL THINGS TO MAKE ANYTHING GROW IS TIME AND CONSISTENCY.” – LISA NICHOLS
Reiterating what I mentioned earlier, learning to enjoy the journey and not focus solely on the destination is essential. Remembering this will go a long way when it comes to reaching your goals. Rarely does anyone experience success overnight. Every speaker who spoke at the VMWS had more than their fair share of struggles and challenges as they worked hard to get to where they are today. I found Lisa Nichols’ story especially inspiring. She brought the crowd to tears as she told moving stories of how she overcame struggles and hardships in her life.
Lisa Nichols is a motivational speaker, author, and CEO of Motivating The Masses, Inc. Her stories of overcoming hardships and becoming a successful entrepreneur have inspired millions of people worldwide.
HOW YOU CAN APPLY THIS QUOTE
Consistently showing up, especially when you don’t feel like showing up, is when it matters most. Inspiration and motivation are fleeting. However, developing habits that support your desired behavior and putting systems in place help support consistency and progress. James Clear’s book Atomic Habits talks about a couple of strategies you can implement to make good habits easier. One of the strategies he mentions is implementation intention. Implementation intention is defined as “a plan you make beforehand about when and where to act.” Implementation intention requires you to be extremely specific about the time, location and behavior. For example, instead of saying, “I’m going to work out tomorrow.” “I’m going to work out tomorrow” becomes “I’m going to exercise for 30 minutes at 7 a.m. at my local gym.” Clarifying when and where you plan to act can increase your chances of actually taking action.
“YOU DON’T HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE IT ALL FIGURED OUT TO START SHOWING UP. YOUR TRANSFORMATION IS INSPIRING.” – JENNA KUTCHER
Similar to perfectionism, we can get hung up on not having everything together before taking action. The truth is no one has it together all the time, and Jenna Kutcher did an incredible job of reminding us that our imperfections are what make us human, and they are what connect us to others. Progress and growth can only happen at a steady pace when we are continuously moving forward. She reminded me of how much people can connect with you and appreciate you when you’re open and honest with them.
Jenna Kutcher is an entrepreneur, online educator, blogger, and host of the Goal Digger podcast. Before she started her online business, she worked at a corporate job, then eventually started her own wedding photography business.

What story or stories in your life can you share that might help teach or inspire someone? If you could share a message with the world, what would it be?
“COURAGE IS MOVING FORWARD EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE SCARED TO DEATH BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT YOUR NEXT LEVEL LIVES ON THE OTHER SIDE OF WHAT YOU’RE AFRAID OF.” – DEAN GRAZIOSI
I can never hear this enough. Over the past couple of months, since I discovered Dean Graziosi through the Own Your Future Challenge, I’ve noticed that this is by far one of his most famous lines. This line is a powerful and profound reminder of what courage means and how to overcome fears. Graziosi always emphasizes how crucial it is to take uncomfortable action and be comfortable being uncomfortable. Fear holds us back in many ways. When life gets challenging, it’s easy to quit and return to what is convenient and what feels safe. These words are a constant reminder and motivator of why we should not give up on ourselves. Moving forward despite fear is how we learn, grow, build confidence and become better versions of ourselves.
HOW TO APPLY THIS QUOTE
Strengthen your mind daily. Your mindset is everything. Before you can begin to change your behavior, you have to work on changing your beliefs. Taking uncomfortable action becomes a little less uncomfortable when you regularly take care of your mindset. Prioritize time in your day to maintain a healthy mindset. Some of my favorite ways to strengthen my mind include reading or listening to self-help books, listening to podcasts or motivational videos, and practicing gratitude. Maintaining a healthy mind will positively impact every area of your life.
FINAL THOUGHTS
The VMWS was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The event was one of the most influential and transformative events that I’ve ever attended. Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi went above and beyond to serve at the highest level. Every speaker that spoke at the event was full of valuable lessons and insights that went far beyond mindset, marketing, and selling. I hope you find the few lessons I shared in this article helpful, and I hope you find meaningful ways to apply them in your life.
